I have done perhaps 30 paintings depicting the theme “Enchanted
Forest”. One day I was doing a painting of many trees in different states of
development. As usual in my paintings, the colors of the background were thrown
randomly without planning. As the trees started taking shape, I realized that
the trunks of the trees were in different colors, not just the normal browns and
blacks.
I figured, since as an artist I can paint whatever I want, why not have trees
with colored trunks? Some came out pink, some purple, some blues…and that’s how
my Enchanted Forest Series was born. Later I gave primary colors to branches and
leaves. Wouldn’t it be magical to walk through a forest filled with different
vibrant colors like the rainbow?
